Day 2 theme: New and Alternative Designs
Day 2 will focus on alternative or novel designs of the stablecoin itself, which would function very differently from the typical stablecoins that we have today (USDC and USDT). In the morning, we’ll cover yield-bearing, decentralized, and confidential stablecoins.
In the afternoon, those who are interested to contribute ideas and feedback will partake in an interactive discussion-based workshop on alternative stablecoin designs as discussed above.
Schedule
11:00 - Yield-Bearing Stablecoins (CAP)
11:30 - RAI and Decentralized Stablecoins (Vitalik)
12:00 - Privacy and Confidential Stablecoins (Inco Network)
12:30 - Lunch
1:30* - Optional interactive workshop with speakers
*1.5 hours is the suggested duration of the workshop, though this is flexible and folks are welcome to stay past that time as well.
About the Stablecoins 3.0 Workshop
Over the course of the four days (Oct 29-Nov 1), we’ll collectively build a vision and thesis around the money infrastructure of the future. We’ll answer questions like: What are the main use cases stablecoins can solve for over the next 5 years? How might stablecoins evolve or specialize based on these use cases? What are the main challenges that are in our way?
Every day has its own themes; among them include usability, regulations, security, decentralization, yield-generation, privacy, payments, FX, and identity. In the mornings, we’ll hear talks from frontier leaders of the stablecoins / payments space to help us answer the questions above (Circle Research, Vitalik, ZKP2P, Uniswap, Inco, and more). In the afternoons, we’ll collaborate in discussion groups and ideathons with the speakers as the top thinkers and builders in the space, to build a vision of the money of the future.
